BRAND NEW RON HAWKINS SOLO ALBUM OUT NOW
Our first big venture for the New Year is an Australian release of Chemical Sounds, the current solo album for RON HAWKINS. Ron Hawkins is one of Canada's most revered and enduring songwriters and has been the principal singer and songwriter for the bands Lowest Of The Low and The Rusty Nails. Our association with Ron began years ago when Weddings Parties Anything played with The Lowest at Lee's Palace in Toronto, Ron's song Rosy & Grey since becoming a staple in the WPA song list. Since then we've kept in touch and it's great to have the chance to get this fantastic bunch of songs out here. This Australian release of Chemical Sounds has one extra track on it (War Without End) plus 13 video song introductions which should be essential viewing to those coming to this fantastic singer-songwriter for the first time as well as long-time fans. DAN WARNER HAS A NEW ALBUM ON THE WAY!
Dan Warner has been hard at work in the studio of late with the follow up to his highly acclaimed debut solo album, A Likeness Of You.. good buddy Marcel Borrack has produced the new album, which is to be called 'Night Parrots' and it is coming along beautifully and looks like being released mid 2008. CROXTON WELCOMES OH SUSANNA!
Croxton is very excited to announce the December 2007 release of the stunning new album from OH SUSANNA, Short Stories. Susie Ungerleider is an American born Canadian who has four fine albums to her credit. She toured Australia about five years back opening for The Waifs and recently toured around the country once more with Mick Thomas & the Sure Thing to promote the release of her new album. Hopefully it's the first of a few fine Canadian albums we will be releasing, as spending a week in Toronto recently made us realise just how much amazing stuff there is there that never gets heard here in Australia. STUNNING DEBUT ALBUM FOR MRS WAINWRIGHT
Croxton is proud to announce that the debut album from ex-Git gal Trish Anderson's MRS WAINWRIGHT group is officially out and kicking goals. It's a lovingly crafted piece of work from the Audrey Studio complex, produced by Mick Thomas and Craig Pilkington. The record is called Clickity Clack and while it retains the quirky edge the band are known for (courtesy of Pete 'Character' McKenna) it is a quantum leap rhythmically and instrumentally.

Dave Foley played the drums and Mick played the bass - and look out for a stunning duo with Mia Dyson as well as some of her trademark quality baritone guitar work on one of the album's high points, Not A Day Goes By. In Mick's words: "I was at great pains to let Trish know that everything I work on in the studio doesn't necessarily end up coming out on Croxton, but once I heard the strength of the songs and remembered the quality of the voice singing them it was a pretty easy decision to make."
