C-SIDES, Nick Barker's latest album is an acoustic re-working of a back-catalogue selection and is out and doing great business on the Liberation Blue label. Nick has just completed an Australian tour with George Thoroughgood and while heading out for a short stint with Stephen Cummings and Mick Thomas is well into planning for his next European jaunt with Tim Rogers.

Don't forget Nick's seminal couple of Croxton releases RETURNED SERVICE and BACKYARD SIX. These records are still available in-store (you'd have to order them I reckon), online by clicking on the album covers opposite, or live at Nick's shows.

"Over the fence and you're out - that was the rule in backyard cricket when I was a kid, hence the title of my album, Backyard Six. Ten songs written all over the place, recorded in the last 12 months in the outer suburbs of Melbourne (fittingly). It's been a strange couple of years which have seen me playing everywhere from Rio de Janeiro to 4000 people, Hamburg to about 4 (people), only to come home and be advertised as Dave Barker from Nick Barker and The Reptiles in Geraldton, WA. So, back for another innings, (I promise that's the last cricket analogy), with a band featuring Tony Johanssen, Paul Thomas (ex Weddos, Huxton Creepers) and Venom, my long time drummer. I reckon the album's honest and it's another step forward for me as a songwriter and I'm really happy with the way it turned out. Proudly brought to you by the good folks at Croxton Records...."
Nick Barker

"You only have to look at him to know that these days, from from the trappings of (so called) rock stardom, Nick Barker is a happy man."
Sophie Best

"His laconic styled lyrics about surburban adventures and his life, down to earth persona and catchy tunes add up to something worth listening to."
Beat Magazine

"When asked what the future had in store, Nick Barker was quite philosophical... I think I've found a way to keep doing what I love in a way that I love doing it."
InPress Magazine
