THE RE-MAINS are at it again, terrorizing all the provinces of Australia with their rumbunctious country rock n' roll evangalism. FIELD CONDITIONS is the name of their second album out on Croxton and it follows the highly rated, potentially overlooked, (but irrepressable) 2004 release BURNIN' DAYLIGHT.

The album was recorded by the band's steel guitar maestro, Leigh Ivan, on an anolog eight-track in a northern NSW country house. It's a rambling affair, rebellious and tender, both ribald in content and indecently contagious in the humability stakes.

An ABC announcer in Darwin nearly fell foul of the censors by not checking the lyrics to the fiery 'My Friend The Bushranger' before airing it on breakfast radio but that's his problem. It's a fine spirited mongrel of a record and one that continues to win them fans as they continue up and down the highways of Australia on the tour-that-never-ends. Great to see the video for Stop Singing The Blues is getting an airing on Rage too. Look out for it!

The band's last album, THANK YOU FOR SUPPORTING COUNTRY ROCK'N ROLL, received critical acclaim nationally.

Jeff Glorfeld of the Melbourne Age observed ".. an enviable hard rockin' twang .. (The Re-mains) have found a better way to rock."
Tom Jellet of the Weekend Australian declared "Wilco and Uncle Tupelo fans will require very little convincing."

The Re-mains, touring extensively over Australia since forming three years ago, have released two other EPs and played countless major festivals, outback pubs and inner city dives. Their banjo, pedal steel and guitar fuelled brand of driving alt-country has excited a huge fanbase of punters and critics alike - and scored them international recognition with a European release on the German Glitterhouse label and extensive radio play there.
